Privacy Policy

Information the app stores

Voice Expense stores the expense and income entries that you create, including amount, category, date, note, profile name, and the recognized or typed text used to create an entry.

This information is stored locally on your device. The app does not create an online account and does not upload your expense records to our own server.

Voice input and microphone

The app may request microphone permission so you can use voice input. Speech recognition is handled by the Android speech recognition service available on your device. After speech is converted to text, Voice Expense parses the text locally to create an entry.

If your phone does not support the required speech service, you can type manually or use your keyboard voice typing feature.

Backups and restore

The app includes manual backup and restore features. When you export a backup, Voice Expense creates a JSON backup file containing your app entries and profile names. You choose where to save or share that file, such as Google Drive or your phone storage.

We do not control third-party storage providers. If you save your backup to Google Drive or another service, that service's privacy policy applies to the stored file.

Advertising

Voice Expense uses Google AdMob to show ads. Google AdMob may collect or use device identifiers, advertising identifiers, app activity, approximate location, diagnostics, or other data as described by Google to provide, measure, and improve ads.

Data sharing

We do not sell your expense records. We do not share your locally stored expense entries with our own server. Data may be processed by third-party services only when you use features that depend on them, including:

• Android speech recognition service for voice-to-text conversion.
• Google AdMob for advertising.
• Your selected storage or sharing app when you export a backup file.

Data retention and deletion

Your entries remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Backup files remain wherever you saved them until you delete those files yourself.

Because Voice Expense does not create an online account, there is no server-side account to delete. To remove app data, delete entries in the app, delete exported backup files, clear the app data from Android settings, or uninstall the app.

Security

Voice Expense stores your records locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping your phone and exported backup files secure. If you share or upload backup files to another service, use a trusted account and device lock.

Children

Voice Expense is not designed for children and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when app features or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
